Week in Pictures

This past week has been a verryyy busy one for me, starting with a four day short course at a university in London studying fashion history, and i LOVED IT. Then as soon as if finished we went to the isle of wight for long weekend and at long last we had sunshine!

I also had to resist the urge when walking around the battlements of Carisbrooke Castle to shout 'Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!', luckily I didn't.

Isabella's window, still cpnfused as to who Isabella actually is..it's pretty anyway.

The window where Charles I made an unsuccessful escape attempt.
I want this, put the painted mica over the miniature of Charles I life! Though the last one holding up his decapitated head is just a tad gruesome...

Lobster, mmm... caught fresh the morning before by a family who have been fishing there since the 1400s

Mullet's are back..

Yes at the moment it would appear that the mullet is back.

But thankfully not of the hair kind (David Bowie is the only person who can pull a mullet off)

But mullet skirts are in fashion which led to me playing around with a dress I bought for my year 13 leavers ball. I bought it thinking that it would be highly unlikely that I would wear it again as it was long and had a mullet hem. But lo and behold! So I played around with this dress I bought from Topshop by putting several different tops over it and I think it worked out quite well. So now hopefully in summer (weather permitting) I can wear this a few times. Yay for hanging onto stuff!

It's Absolutely Fabulous

"I decide what goes in the magazine. Y'know, one snap of my fingers and I can raise hemlines so high that the world is your gynaecologist!"

Just bought a 10 dvd boxset of Ab Fab and it is perfect lazy day viewing with of course a glass of wine nearby. There is no need to explain my love for Ab Fab as it is pretty self explanatory but I now have the urge to wear vintage Lacroix, shop at Harvey Nics, drink copious amount of aclochol (no difference there), wear huge gothic crosses, clashing prints, lots of red lippy, sport a beehive and call
everyone sweetie darling... my friends better watch out....
